Q1.
I have lost my password.
A.

For security reasons, we cannot respond to any inquiries about for lost passwords.
Please make sure to keep your password in a safe place.

Q2.
The pull-down menu is not displayed properly.
A.

When using Internet Explorer on Mac OS X, the pull-down menu, etc. will sometimes not be displayed properly. Please use Safari (v1.2 or higher), the standard web browser for Mac OS, or Netscape (v6.0 or higher).

Q3.
I get a “timeout” message when registering. Or I get the “timeout expired” message.
A.

If you take too much time (about 60 minutes) to register your paper, you will get a timeout message. It is advisable that you prepare your abstract text in advance, using word processing software, so that you can copy and paste it into the form.

Q4.
I cannot register multiple people using the same ID (email address).
A.

As the email address will be used as the login ID, it is not possible to register multiple people using one particular email address. In case you do not have an email address, please register a set of one-byte characters (a combination of alphabet and numbers) as your ID, and make sure to keep the ID in a safe place so as not to forget it. Moreover, as the notification of completion of registration will not be sent to you via email after the registration of your paper, please be sure to thoroughly confirm the details of your registration on the confirmation page. Finally, please be sure to include your fax number in your registration, as we will contact you via fax to provide you with the results of the selection process and other information.

Q.5
Tildesand minuses are garbled in the confirmation email received after registration. Also, some of the line feeds in the text are not in the right place.
A.

Please refrain from using (two-byte version) tildesand minuses as they may get garbled. Moreover, there are times when line feeds appear in the middle of an English word in the notification of completion of registration sent to you after your paper registration. Please be assured, however, that they will appear properly in the abstract collection.

Q.6
I made a mistake in my registration, which I want to correct
A.

You can confirm and correct any mistake by yourself any number of times as long as it is done before the deadline. If you need to confirm, correct, and/or delete any part of your registration, enter your registered ID (your email address) and your password on the login page to access the registration/confirmation page.

Q.7
I can’t enter Roman numerals.
A.

You cannot use roman numerals, as they are not defined in JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) code. Please combine “I”s, and“V”s, etc. to enter II,IV, etc.

Q.8
When I try to correct my paper, I get a message saying, “We do not have your registration.”
A.

You may have completed the registration of you personal data, but not that of your abstract data. Please make sure to complete the registration of your abstract data, as you are not officially registered unless your abstract data is registered.

Q.9
What should I enter as my ID and password? Will the Society issue them to me?
A.

The Society will not issue IDs and passwords. You are requested to use the ID (email address) and password you entered at the time of your personal data registration. If it is your first time to register, please start by clicking the “New Registration” button.

Q.10
I have registered my paper, but have not received the notification of completion of registration via email. Will you please check and confirm my registration?
A.

We are unable to email the notification of completion of registration when the email address provided in the registration form is incorrect. Please ensure that your email address is correctly entered, as the results of the selection process and other information are provided via email.
