1.IUPAP Young Scientists prize for Nuclear Physics
During the morning session of June 7, there will be an awarding
ceremony for the newly established IUPAP Young Scientists prize
for Nuclear Physics followed by plenary talks by award recipients.

2. NPA Young Scientist Award
The first NPA Young Scientist Award was awarded at INPC2007 sponsored by Nuclear Physics A.
There were 63 applicants, who presented the paper in the
Conference and are young (below 35 of age). Two winners were
selected as follows:
The best poster:
"Measurement of electromagnetic radiation at RHIC-PHENIX"
by Dr. Takao Sakaguchi,
Associate Physicist, BNL
The best talk:
"Experimental studies of r-process nuclei at the National
Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory"
by Dr. Jorge Pereira,
Research Associate, NSCL at MSU
The awards were presented by Rose Olthof, Publishing Editor,
Nuclear & High Energy Physics, Astronomy, Elsevier and by
Prof. R.S. Hayano, Nuclear Physics A Supervisory Editor in
the morning of June 7, 2007.
